Yeah we were talking about this very same thing the other night. Such talent snuffed so soon.
Really enjoy listening to him and his style.
I was young when he passed. But am very very familiar and love his music.
1 of a kind he was.

My god he just rolls thru them runs like nothing!!
We have to remember what year that was. Yeah lot of hot shot players out here today.
But you have to admit he was one of the true pioneers!!

-exactly!!,.. its hard to explain to people of the impact Randy had,.... because his heavy use of classical guitar phrasing is almost status quo today,... nobody sounded like Randy, there was a "who's better, Randy or Eddie" culture, who's patch ya sewed on your levi's jean jacket... you hear alot of people jump on the "Randy's tone wasnt great" bandwagon, but when you heard him play live,.. good god! incredibly fierce!! his use of timing and rest's to build tension, truly a great musician,.. the ultimate compliment you can give anyone who makes music, no matter what the instrument

Wow, Randy plays great but some of those songs really sucked. Kevin's voice is flat out boring.

Weird program. Why do they say (more than once) that Randy died on the evening of March 20th when he died the morning of March 19th?? and 100% sure Pete Way NEVER played in Ozzy's band with Randy yet he mentions about Randy getting lessons on the road, WTF

UFO w/Pete Way was opening for Ozzy at the time . I`ve read that Pete did play bass for Ozzy on some shows but I think thats when Brad Gillis was in the band

I had read that early 1982' Rhoads wanted to get out of Rock guitar to pursue Classical.
