MetallicA has had enough of bullshit woke artists.

I'm not guilty of ever calling myself a great bassist, but I'm better than Roger Waters bro. Not that that's saying much.

^ I bet

It is smaller than most. But not tiny. My job was breaking down a tree branch that had blown down. I thought it would take longer. It ended up being simple. I was expecting to have to bring out a hand saw but the branch was dry enough so that it snapped into little pieces quite easily. It was fairly big but the thickest part was only slightly thicker than the average thumb. Easy peasy.

I have 3 chain saws and 1 pole saw but then I have 1.5 acres at home w/trees and 5 acres at my cabin w/trees.

I couldn't do all that. We have a tiny little chain saw that I've only had to use once to tear down a big wooden planter box about 12 feet long and 18 inches deep. Damn thing cut through the wood like it was cardboard. Lol.

Oh, wait. I also cut down a Hawthorne tree that had fire blight. Tree was still young, about 4-5 feet tall so no big deal.

You ain’t looking too hard then.

The guy who pretended to be the bass player for Pink Floyd is losing his shit as we speak. He even had the balls to say Hetfield isn’t a musician. Strong words from a mother fucker whose guitarist recorded most of his bass parts.
Nah, didn't see it. Waters is definitely no virtuoso. Great songwriter and musical visionary though. His politics are....unique to him.

What kind of canadian are you?

Urban Canadian. Who likes his fingers.

I avoid power tools as much as possible. I've probably used most but only when there was no other option. Table saws and routers and the like. Nah bro. I know a work around.

I do love super sharp kitchen knives though. I can work a honing steel like a virtuoso. (cliff claven - they don't actually sharpen they just straighten the edge).

nothing funny about chainsaws - confusing.
I think Robo was making fun of JTK for acting like he was cutting off a massive live oak branch whan all it amounted to was snapping off a pencil sized twig. No chainsaw humor involved.

PSA

Ceramic rods are far better than a steel.

When you do have to sharpen, if you’re not using stones you’re doing it wrong.
I started self sharpening this spring since my local stihl dealer was wanting $9/blade last time. Nuts. I don't have ceramics but I have some nice swedish files and I was able to get the hang of it. I could use a couple new blades as there is always one or two teeth that hit rock and have chips out of them. I gotta say, it's worth learning to do!

I sliced my leg pretty good one time with a big kitchen knife... I was removing a fretboard from a neck after heating it up. Was tough going and then all of a sudden the blade went through like butter!

Truss rod replacements, new fretboards, shit like that I always give people the "fuck you pricing quote"

can I fix it? Yeah probably. But to make it worth the time and effort it is gonna be ridiculously expensive, because that shit is a PITA.

It's really rare, but i only ever do repairs of that kind on vintage gibsons generally now; nearly any other guitar it simply isn't worth it as an economic proposition

Yeah i have done truss rod replacement twice and I will not do it again lol.

I'm still confused lol. Chainsaws can be dangerous, just like lots of things.

Its all good no worries. I was confused why @Robostyle put a laughing emoji on my post about chainsaws instead of maybe JTK's post about snapping twigs.

Just got this bad boy a few weeks ago.
