Micheal Wagener on the Kemper

I don't own a Kemper (nor have I tried one) but Michael Wagener is one hell of an endorsement.

Congrats to the folks at Kemper; they've obviously come up with a great product.

Still loving my ADA MP-1 with the 3 tube mod. Probably still worth pretty much what I paid for it minus the 3TM which I performed myself. Dying to try a Kemper just probably won't help me sell any of my amps. Just know that I would miss them too much. You know I think my late 70's JMP's which have given me over thirty years of fine tone and minimal maintenance requirement surprisingly enough are worth more than I paid for them too.

The kemper is the most amazing piece of gear I have ever bought.... I feel bad for those who don't own one :lol

The only real problem with the kemper is that it looks like it belongs in a 50's sci fi movie as opposed to on top of a speaker cab. I think if i ever go this route, I 'll wait for the rack V2 model. Surprised more pros don't go to the kemper though yet. XLR to the front of the house but sounding like it is mic'ed seems to be the holy grail.

It seems like the Borg off Star Trek. Gobbling up other amps but not one of its own. I wonder if there will be a way for someone to mod a profile? Could be the next business opportunity. Send FJA a profile to mod.

Nah man......I was thinking AXE FX a couple years back but for the little I play.....A tube amp is cool with me.
Then the Kemper came out...sounds like a great thing for sure!
But alas....I play a limited amount of tunes and can pull it all off with my Amps.
But who knows....Maybe the Tone chasing bug might strike me again one day.

Funny thing my last 3 out of 4 modules were Jaded Faith and the 4th was a Salvation Custom 3.
Good tones for sure there.

Bro, I really think both of those guys have made huge improvements just in the past 2 years. You wouldn't even recognize their new stuff. Truly boutique quality in features and tones.

But I get where you are coming from. If your gear is doing what you need, that's totally cool. No reason to feed unnecessary GAS.

What makes you think pros ARENT using it? It's already getting recognition from huge national metal acts in the live setting ( Accept, whitehapel, unearth, August burns red), not to mention the many production records it has been used on.Hell, this thread is about michael Wagner, and HIS thoughts on the thing! give it time, it's been out less, or

I was at his studio right after he did his first round of simulations, he was really digging it, I got to hear roughs of that Swedish Gwar type band he was doing, I can't remember the name. Kemper was cool but the sushi after was better...lol

Can you imagine if this had been around for the last few decades in studios? Gary Moore, EVH, Metallica, etc. profiling the sounds they got in the studio for their albums that they could just plug into PA and have that exact sound live? I'll bet this will get used more and more in the future. If (probably when) that happens, how cool would it be to get access to those profiles? Interesting times...

There is allot of pros using this and even more so the Axe FX. Allot more than people think.
