I've got new tubes coming for my Single Rectifier tomorrow, and yet I want one of these, haha.

Definitely thinking about getting this thing...seems much more versatile than I thought it would be.

I think this is why I want one. It seems like everyone says it's super versatile, which is my only problem with my Single Rec. Cleans aren't good enough, and I can't get it to be more than a one-trick pony. The high gain stuff is does well, very well. But everything else...meh.

It's a very cool amp. I tried one last week and it sounded a lot like the Single Rectifier I used to own.
I would have bought it if I had the money.

Waiting for peeps who have pulled the trigger to post clips!! :-)

I can't wait to hear some high-gain clips of it. I want to hear how close it sounds to a Single Rectifier. Everything I've read says it's really close, despite the different power tubes. That surprises me, because I've found that different tube types and even brands make a drastic difference in the Single.

I'd like to hear someone post a clip of it using the same settings I do on my Single, just out of curiosity.

Has anyone tried boosting the mini yet? Hopefully it works as well as it does with the bigger brothers. A TS style boost really brings a Rectifier to life, IMO.

I've read that the clean channel is awesome. Makes sense, considering the vast improvement the 2011 Rectifier's clean channel has. Very cool

My guess is that they revoiced the preamp a bit to compensate.

$999 at Sweetwater..... I think I'll wait.

price tag is about 100 too much for sure. 200 off would be way better as well. but it sounds pretty sweet to me

Considering it's an American-made head for a grand, with the features and sound it has, I'd say it's a great deal. How much is that Orange Dual Terror turd, made in China?

I played one the other day. The cleans sounded good; the gain side didn't do much for me.

How did the gain side compare to other Rectos you've played?

I got the exact same review from my buddy who works at a mesa dealer, they just got their first one in. He said the clean side sounded really nice, he said the dirty side sounded like a blanket was over the cab.

The Mesa clips of the higher gain didn't sound AWESOME but they still sounded very good to me. This blues clip sounds like it has plenty of bite. Wonder if these purple didn't spend enough time to dial it in or if it is more muffled. The very few videos I have watched, I didn't get muffled...
