So I left my good old 5150III back at home before I moved. I'm missing it greatly. I loved the tone of that thing.
Wondering what would be a good low-volume solution that's not going to be expensive? I know the 50W handles low volume beautifully, but I also don't want to spend the full price of a 50W when I don't really need the volume, or want the added bulkiness and weight.
I've already owned the LBX 1 and 2. I liked the 1, but thought the 2 sounded awful turned down. Plus I much prefer the red channel over the blue.
Will the LBX-S satisfy me? Is there anything else I should look into? Is someone building like a preamp clone? I know lots of Peavey 5150-inspired preamps, but I don't think I can think of many Fender EVH ones.
Thanks!
