I'm trying to determine which tube in the module corresponds with which channel. When I pull the module out of the amp and the controls are facing me, and I am looking straight at the module.....is the left tube channel 1 or 2? thanks.

Both tubes are for both channels just like mud said. One affects gain more & one affects tone, just can't remember which is which.

Which module, and what are you trying to achieve?

My Vox module has a much darker characteristic in the 2nd, gain channel. I was hoping a tube change would equalize the 2nd channel closer to the first. My D/D module works great with sufficient shared tonal characteristics that the treble, mid and bass settings work for both channels. In my Vox module, the 2nd channel is so much darker that you have to set the T/M/B EQ for one or the other channel. Suggestions....?

I had the same problem, then I read here somewhere that the TREBLE is the key - you need to crank it up to at least 2:30-3:00. it's a little tricky to dial in so that A channel doesn't sound too bright, but I was able to do it (although I can't remember if I have the BRIGHT switch at "0" or "1" . . . I'd have to look, but I think it's a "0"). If I remember correctly, the more the GAIN is turned up on channel B the darker and even muddier it gets and thus the TREBLE may need to be turned up even more.

Before discovering this I had also changed the BRIGHT caps for channel A so that it's not as bright, but this only works for positions "1" and "2", not position "0". For this module I think it's a good mod on its own anyway and I've left it in.
