Okay, so this time I was less creative and more about the "wankage". The recordings are pretty much some of my favorite rock riffs played in one take - MISTAKES AND ALL!

Please note that I'm NOT trying to achieve a "dead-on tone" of any particular artist, I just set it where I personally dig the tone. The purpose of these clips is to give you an idea of what the amp is capable of via the direct line out.

Reverb in the clips is from the amp, and the delay is a Boss DD-6 in the loop. I used OD2 on my Visual Sound Double Trouble for a gain boost on the Drop D clip only. The other 2 clips are all R30! All clips were played on my USA Peavey Wolfgang Special.

Thanks, bonedish  It looks like the R30 has an incredible direct-out!Great sound!I'm waiting for the R30 to arrive in Europe but Thomann is now saying not before the 10/10/09... :aww:

amp sounds great, but the clips have a lot of noise to them, is this because of your setup?

So far I'm only noticing a hiss when playing it through my laptop speakers. I have yet to go back to the recording on the BR-8, though.

The amp does have a hiss, even on the clean channel, but it is much more prominent with the speaker on (the hiss is not so much with the direct out). I called Egnater & spoke with Nate, and he reassured me that the hiss is normal. Any of you other R30 owners have the same hiss experience?
