Wait. What radio station would he be talking about?

And yeah, that clean part 1:30 - 1:60 is kinda fucked up to be honest. I get that it was on purpose but does not fit the song.

Most of our songs made no sense lol. We tried as hard as possible not to repeat anything ever

We did actually have that one played a few times on a local station that played local metal bands. I bet we reached at least 100 people lol

One time I posted a clip with the guitar tone pot all the way off.

Didn't get a lot of high 5s on that one
Better than fighting mud at a gig all night and then realizing later in the evening you had your tone control down=me putting a controls check on my pre-flight checklist. The other good one is starting off the first song and realizing you didn't turn your guitar's volume control up, lol.

This happened to me and i went crazy changing all settings on amp and pedals. This is why you never see a tone knob on a guitar in my possession. There is never a time I think, "I wish my tone was more muddy right now"

I had a keyboard player once tell me I had "Big Ears." I guess what he meant was that I could hear and play stuff beyond the standard rock n roll shit. I took it as a nice compliment. I was always messing around with jazzier stuff and reaching for that even though I am a neophyte at that style etc. I wish I could play that stuff lol.

Not really a comment.. but back in the mid 00's my band had a two song demo CD in these cardboard sleeves that we would go to shows and hand out for free as many bands did, im standing with my other guitarist at the door as he hands one to this one dude who was apparently super hammered, he started looking at the thing like he was very confused and a bit agitated as to why we were giving him a free cd.. he asks my buddy "wtf is this??", my buddy goes its our bands demo, its free please check it out.. the dude again starts looking at the thing with this look of disgust on his face, as me and my buddy are now looking at each other like wtf.. the dude starts tearing the plastic off, takes the CD out and starts eating the fucking thing!! then he just spits it out and goes "fuck your band!!". i couldnt even beat the dude up i was laughing so hard, its like dude you win!!

Someone actually liked one of my songs once and said “good job”. That was odd because I suck at guitar 🤣

We did a Halloween album called Trick or Treat a few years ago, and one of the stops we made was a campground gig. We headlined and played all our creepy songs and Halloween stuff. I thought it went well, and we headed on to Detroit.

Next time we played that place, one of the staff/residents told us about a girl who had a bad time last time we played. I guess she had taken a large amount of hallucinogens and had a bad trip, she went back to her tent to get away from the band, but our music haunted the trees. Tents do not block sound. Poor girl. We made her afraid of the world.

I took it as a compliment. That shit was intended to be creepy. Hell I even wrote an acoustic song about a pedophile picking up kids on Halloween called "Repeat Offender". I had people tell me they can't listen to that album because that song creeps them out. It's probably because I sang it in first person... I have regrets about that. Either way it's flattery because I wanted it to be creepy. Mission accomplished.

I would love to hear some of this if you can send or link it. I love creepy stuff

I used to play Rob Zombie for my kids every year at Halloween. They loved it and got used to it. Luckily, they couldn't really understand the lyrics due to Rob's vocal style  Then, the next Halloween would roll around and they say, "Dad, play your Halloween music"

What I forgot to mention, and the funniest part, was that I couldn't figure out what was wrong with my rig so I stupidly make a tone test thread here at R-T.

Everyone was like "eeewww, that sucks"

Then I realized my tone knob was on 0

My original band used to play a local bar regularly, and I would wear an Iron Maiden t-shirt sometimes, and every time we'd play the second set, this one drunk guy would yell out "Live After Death!",
Finally after like 10 times of this, I asked him from the stage: "Are you asking us to play the whole live album Iron Maiden - Live After Death?"

Drunk Guy: "I don't know....the only thing I've ever seen is that Iron Maiden poster Live After Death. I thought it was a song."

Me: "We'll work on it"...return to set amongst assorted laughter

Not really bizarre per se but I got a kick out of this youtube comment on one of our live shows

I was the bassist in this band by the way
