I heard that they wrote and recorded the album and 7 days

i like their music and style - not much swag of 80's leather jacket.
btw, how old are they??

I think Paul is 50....I saw them near Detroit a month or so ago and they were great!

I really liked that it didn't have an obvious stamp of certain style on it. You could listen to it without knowing exactly what might come next. But.....WTF is up with that drum mix?!

Found this in the comments on YT so I glad I'm not alone...

Sounds like plywood taped over a trash can, recorded with a radio shack microphone, then ran through 3 compressor filters before being recorded on a sony microcassette walkman. Also, what bass drum? Producer: "YEAH! That's the sound I'm going for!"

Ok I liked Mr Big back in the day
Green tinted is an amazing song
And Paul is amazing player but I cannot
Tell you you how much I dislike this and the other single off the album
As others said drum sound bad and the guitars to me sound thin and boring. I much prefer take a walk or brother lover erc

I don't really hear any spark in there. Drums are weird.
Guitar is flat. Kemper?
Strange.

I was going to say.. what's up with the drums? Hard to get a non cookie cutter polished sound given all the sampling and drum replacement that takes place nowadays .. yet they did it. I just find it so lazy now.. machine gun snares with zero dynamics. At least blend the real drums somewhere in there!

Another (and better IMO) song from their new album:

They have a second drummer as original drummer Pat Torpey has Parkinsons disease :(

perhaps the biggest disappointment in a "name brand player" band ever
paul and billy could have done so much more than this mediocre crap
i get it......I guess
they have to pay the bills?
when that first album dropped my friends and i were personally pissed off and insulted.
we were waiting for eat em and smile pt 2 and instead we get this pop garbage extreme type shit,
ewwwwww
thank satan the first badlands album was released a few weeks later
;-)

I don't like the song personally, but man...Paul Gilbert could shine a turd into a diamond.

as big of a pg fan as anyone, but have lost interest after "get out of my yard." some of his solo stuff before that was bleh as well. I think Mr. Big has made it's mark in Japan so that they can pump out whatever and it will sell. Good for them. Won't go see them if they tour nearby

I'm a fan of both Billy and Paul but I never got that much into Mr. Big. The whole never added up to the sum of the parts for me. I had moved in a different direction musically at that time anyway. This song doesn't do much for me either. That said, if they come near me I'll go see them for sure.
