Ozzy originally wanted Gary Moore to be his guitar player. I've often wondered what they would have come up with.

Yeah, I had a high school friend die from it. 50 years old. HEAVY drinker. Several bottles of vodka a day, and his liver gave up. He was a great guitar player as well. He was playing EVH, (his idol) note for note IN HIGH SCHOOL. He later just gave it up, chose the bottle. I started down that path myself, but I'll have 8 years of sobriety later this year. It's a destructive drug.

I don't often listen to the blues, but when I do it's going to have to be Gary as that's blues with piss and vinegar !

I do prefer his earlier rock stuff more, but I'm glad he put out so much incredible music in different genres.

Don't know, tastes like shit. I was beer, good beer..Or Whiskey. Jack, Beam, and Crown Royal.

It got expensive.. I downloaded an app when I quit to keep track of the days, and it also calculated my spending. Over 8 years and 2 months, I've saved over $34,000 not buying alcohol. That's pretty "sobering", and downright crazy.

Man, his lead tone in PW in the first vid is jaw dropping!
His strat tones were great too.
Life is less knowing we won’t get any more stuff from Gary Moore..
But he was a giant, one of my biggest influences ever. His vibrato was the thing that got me from the first time I heard him. It’s like a singing voice when he digs in deep.
It takes a lot of hours to make a guitar sing like that..
He is missed..

And KH never should have ended up with that greeny.. It’s cool he had the money to buy it though, good for him.
It’s just hard to watch him play it…

Man, that’s awesome.
I’m old enough to have watched it kill half a dozen friends over the years who couldn’t do it. And most of them tried hard…
It systematically eliminates every good thing you got in life until there’s just that left then it kills you. And it’s usually not fast, it slowly grinds you down to nothing.
Some it was drinking and some it was hard drug use, but it’s all the same process with slight variations.
Being on the other side for 16 years is a huge deal
