I have an Axis (from 1998 I think) and a 5 string Stingray bass (2002 or so) that are both fantastic. I bought a used Silhouette Special for a great price 5 or 6 years ago and the neck had all the rigidity of an old banana. Hopeless garbage. I ended up selling it to Guitar Center to ease my conscience since they offer a return policy for whoever bought it.

I'm sure it's just a hit or miss kind of thing. I've treated this guitar no differently then any other I've owned. Here in Minnesota, we have humid weather in the Summer and dry in the Winter. Some necks just seem to be more stable then others I guess.

That sucks. Have you tried removing the wheel if you can and seeing if there is a washer jammed? Have you tried putting pressure back of the stock and front of the neck at the bottom at the same time? You know what I mean to try and bend the neck back if you can.

I'll take it apart and look for the washer. I did put pressure on it, which was what Music Man told me to try.

Yeah, this experience makes me never want a Music Man guitar ever again.

They sure don't stand behind their products...their customer service is a joke. I actually still have one used Music Man Reflex, but it'll be the last one I ever own. I do like some aspects of how their guitars are made though. I just don't have much respect for their company or their owner and the way they do business. And, they wonder why they have such a bad reputation. I can remember Sterling ranting on the MM forum one time, complaining about how come they don't get any respect in the guitar community....clueless bastard.

I don't have much experience with their customer service, but when I contacted them about my neck, they were very helpful and answered every one of my emails. But I don't plan on ever buying another one of their products.
