why tf do you all think that your old amps get worse when peter releases new ones !? this is crazy.

herbert mk 2 comes out , everybody wants to sell their mk1. hagen comes out everyone gets rid of their beloved vh 4´s and so on......

i compare this to all this apple magic. i have a serious number of friends how sold their i pad 2 just because apple released a new one.

i will ALWAYS love my einstein to death and never sell it.

GOOD! MOTHER! OF! GOD!

GOOD! PAPA! OF! AMPLIFICATION!!!

It's not that people think the Einstein suddenly sounds bad, it's that this looks to have some very useful features. While channels one and two share EQ, they look to be foot switchable and presumably can be balanced volume-wise, which I believe was an issue if you modded the Einstein to be able to foot switch across the modes of channel one. This also has a mid cut. But, the Einstein has three modes in Channel One plus channel two. I wonder If this just has three "modes" across three channels.

If this was in reference to me it was partially a joke. My primary amp is a vh4 and I have 2 of them. They're not going anywhere. I would be interested in this model to replace my Einey for a few reasons.

1. Einstein and vh4 don't blend too well in my experience with the way I use the amps. They sound too similar.

2. It's midi controlled. My entire rig is midi controlled. When I do take my Einstein instead I have a whole different pedal board for it and that means doubled up pedals for this reason alone... Sure I could buy an amp gizmo, but it doesn't make much sense to me.
3. 3 usable channels. I am always battling getting clean crunch and heavy on tap in Einey.
4. Mid cut!!!

Don't get me wrong I love my Einstien dearly, but if this new amp covers the same tonal needs and has more features that fit my needs I'm all for it.

i know brother. AND i appreciate the precious little info you have put up. trust me. Not sure if I'm gonna buy this or not. There is another Diezel amp i was going to buy next, but depending on the way this is rolled out I might get it.
I just want the real details, because I won't hesitate to order one from B-rad if this has features/tones I want. and btw. I'm in Istanbul on a job right now, FAR away from any of my amps...

Rez, next time let me know when you're away like that. I'll babysit your Hagen for you free of charge!! Which one are you looking at? Einstein? Herbert?

Very interested. I've never played an Einstein, but love the VH4. However, I don't use channel 4 much at all. Hoping the three channels of this are more like the clean, Texas, and Mega modes of the Einstein (which I've heard are similar to the first three channels of the VH4) and that channel 3 isn't completely over-the-top.

Then add MIDI and the mid cut; this looks really cool.

I'm GASSSIng for a VH4 or a Hagen since months and now this!? Help!

I wonder tonally where this sits in the Diezel scheme of tone?
If... Herbert's Left-field / Hagen's Mid-field / VH4's Right-field... Does this amp sits in Between Herbie & Hagen or Hagen & Vh4 or...??
Bet for sure it has the wide open 3D Hagen feel to it.
Will it come in 50 watt - 100 watt ?

Just spent the pass hour playin' my Diezels ... i gotta win the lottory soon so i can own every Diezel!!!!!!

And.. there is more from Diezel to come... preamp? bass amp? etc etc
Good things are a'happening down at the Diezel factory....they're on a roll.

I played the amp a few hours ago - sounds really good...

Can you compare the channels on the D Moll to the four channels of the VH4 and the three channels of the Herbert (incl. the +/- modes)?

Thanks!

Is that it? come on!! lol... you can do better than "sounds really good... "

Spill the beans...

How can I tell what year my VH4 is, and what is the magical difference with the 2007 and newer VH4 models--can someone explain or send me a link to another thread? I personally think my VH4 sounds awesome and I "believe" it's a 2006.

Thanks,
