How can I tell what year my VH4 is, and what is the magical difference with the 2007 and newer VH4 models--can someone explain or send me a link to another thread? I personally think my VH4 sounds awesome and I "believe" it's a 2006.

Thanks,

Well, the real magic happened in 2009/10 - amps with newer circuits do sound really different...

Odd !
Peter says there isn't much difference between 2007-08 to 2012

Gonna guess Ch1 is the clean
Ch 2/3 share and Eq for the high gain controls but have seperate gain master
2 is 3 gain stage a la Mega Drive
3 is 4 gain stage like ch2 on original.

Maybe redesigned channels to be more like Hagen less compressed more Open more upper mid bite or more scooped and darker with the mid cut engaged like a Herbert

I'm hoping it'll be similar to clean, Texas, and Mega; but you're probably right that Texas gets omited in favor of the Diezel lead channel.

More details!

Of course, it will be interesting to hear the different tones available.

I think it is interesting how Papa keeps coming up with different control knob configurations!

Horny.

Don't even know what this thing sounds like, but me horny for it. That's the problem with Diezels...you get one, you want 'em all.

I'm very impressed by how quiet this was and then BOOM - new sonic territory!!

Keep us posted cats

Wow! this looks terrific.
I read the tone review on it in another thread posting.
It looks like a cross between a Herbert, Hagen, and Schmidt, but with it's own musicality.
Congradulations Peter on another wonderful amp! :worship:

For me, two deal breakers : unswitchable loops, no tuner out. Not fan neither of the shared EQ for channels 2 & 3, but I could live with that.

Let's wait for a few samples, but I think I can now order my Hagen with a free mind :)

haha, i met ola on Wednesday and told him about the new diezel d-moll and that he should try it out^^
i also told premier guitar, that they have to check it out^^ ( rebecca dirks isn't here :( )

I think I'll sell my VH4 for this new D-Moll amp......

Either this or the Schmidt.....we'll see.... :D

How's the clean on this amp?

Every time a new Diezel product is released, it gets me GASing big time! Can't wait for more videos and clips to roll out!
