Here is my take away
- The Fortin Blade was my least favorite by far.
- The two pedals that surprised me the most were the Iconic I-Scream and the Wizard. The iconic because I thought it sounded good and didn't really know what to expect from it so I can't tell you why I am surprised by it but I am (In a good way). The Wizard surprised me because I expected it would sound better than it did. To me, the Wizard was the second worse pedal behind the Fortin Blade as top honors there.
- Airis Tight Scream was my favorite taking the win here. Second place was really close but for this video I give it to the Friedman Buxom Boost.
- Very close third place and in some situations I could see these pedals taking second or possibly even first place was the Lichtlaerm Aesahattr, Deadweald Duality and the Fortin Hex. I heard bits and pieces in the three of them that I really liked and if I were to spend some time with them I could definitely see them going up the charts easily, especially with various amps and guitars etc. and possibly even toppling the Airis Tight Scream as the best.
I could live with them all minus the Fortin Blade if I had to.
Cool video, thank you for sharing!
Thanks for checking it out!
I agree about the Blade here. It’s honestly not great with a lot of my amps so I sold it. I’m working on a vid about how people need to stop asking “Which boost is best for X?”
The Wizard CRUSHED with my KSR but not my favorite with the Friedman. I think a lot of cats but pedals and boosts based on this very question but then post how the pedal sucks and all that. Just like amps, it’s the whole equation. The Lichtlaerm literally sounds great with all my amps and speakers. Not the case with many others.
