Man, I'm so sorry to hear this, but at the same time I'm really happy that you had such a great dad!

Scott,
I'm really sorry to hear about your dad. My prayers and condolences for you and your family. Like others have said here, your dad raised a really cool son so he must have been one heck of a great guy himself.

And at least he taught you to fish. I love to fish and have gone on camping/fishing trips with my dad and brother but my dad is the worst fisherman ever. Hopeless.

Here's to you remembering all the great times you shared with your dad.

My Thoughts are with you...

And my eyes welled up with tears... I know what you went through...

I have 2 sick Parents that I take care of myself... I have no Brothers and Sisters to help me, and between taking care of them, and Work... I don't have much time to practice or anything else.

But no matter the burden, we must do what is right, that's what being a Man is.

I'm sure your Father is proud of you... God Rest His Soul... And God Bless You for Being a Good son.

Best,

Roid RAGE (Tony)

Sorry for your loss Scott. Mojo sent to you and your family.

My condolences to you, Scott.

I lost my dad recently too. Leaves a big hole, but it sounds like your relationship with him is something to be cherished always. Mojo to you brother.

Sorry to hear about your loss, Scott. This time of year seems to take a lot of loved ones away for some reason. I'm glad you have good memories of your dad :)

Thanks everyone, I usually do not post private matters here on the boards but my guitar and talking gear always makes me happy and content. As I have told others privately playing is my evening drink or drug of choice, it brings me to a good place mentally. I am doing well, shared some laughes with my mother and her brother earlier today about past adventures.

One story always comes up and that was a fishing trip in the Keys many years ago...............it was me at 12 years old, my father, and his brother with a guide as they were chasing Tarpoon and I was there for the ride mostly. Well after several hours we see this 9-10' Bull shark swimming towards the boat and my father is telling me to get my line out of the water as they did not want to screw with the shark as it would suck up time.

Yeah right.

So they are talking about where to go next with the guide and I drop that big old bait right back in the water and that shark nailed it and just started to haul ass riping line off the rod. My father turns around and starts screaming at me what the hell I was doing so I yelled back catching more than you!!!!  Well 45 minutes later we got that shark up to the boat and released it and I was looking at that picture today with me next to the shark with my father holding my pants by the belt loop with one of those " that's my boy" grins on his face as he could not believe I got that shark to the boat. My mother almost beat both our asses for that picture when she saw it. Many years later I would always bring a striper or two to the house and spin tales of why I was the king of stripers here in Connecticut while he sat there with WFAN in the background with his eyebrows lifted laughing at my bravado but I caught word that he would tell the old boys his kid can fish his ass off.

The military cematery grounds crew are going to be pissed when they have to remove a 50" striper by his stone next fall.
Wow! That is an awesome memory.Sorry for your loss and my prayers are with you and your family.

Scott, my sincere condolences for your loss. I went through this last year with my Mom, who passed three days before Xmas. Especially tough time of year to deal with such a loss. Sounds like your Dad was a great guy, too.

My heart goes out to you Digital Jams, positive Mojo being sent times 10.

May he rest in peace

Sorry to read this Scott. Best to you and your family in this difficult time.

It was hard to read this post without tearing up. The older I get the more I encounter death. It never gets any easier. I have a long list of lost loved ones.

Peace be with you.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss, Scott. I know what you are going through, I still haven't gotten over the loss of my father four years ago. Condolences to you and your family.
