Few months back I posted how unhappy I was with the 2203X I had bought for 2000 .... and said I would build one myself instead.... well ....
finished it up finally over the weekend ..... and couldn't be happier with the results .
I went with a full size JCM800 size chassis ..... and now I have to build the headshell ......
Just researching what parts I wanted to use was a shit ton of work ....... but was well worth it .... the amp sounds fantastic !
forgot to mention ..... I went with 6550's instead of EL34's

I did the Logo myself ...... and also the " JCM800 LEAD SERIES " also

nope ..... right on top ..... the glue leaves a little resi-doo doo .... but I find most of it will rub right away with some 99% ISO Alcohol while leaving the laser jet ink intact..
it was using the heat gun that got a little tricky .... usually I pop my pedals into a oven I use for powder coating to cure the ink/glue ...

I looked into that as well, but I wound up just spraying the pedal enclosures with 3~4 coats of clear coat over the decals.

Hell yeah dude! Is that the mojotone chassis? How do you like the 50 vs 100 in terms of feel?

yes sir .... Mojotone's full size " British " chassis and turret board .... faceplates also ..

I didn't have the 100 watter long ..... so I couldn't really say .... and I went with 6550's like the original ones made for the US came ...

I do remember the 100 watt was LAF ........ and I thought I would need a attenuator .... my 50 watter let's me at least stand in front of the cab with it a little over " 1 " on the volume .... lol

That is absolutely beautiful. Nice job. I've been looking at those kits for a while.
Nice to see someone nail it!

Hey man Thanks !!
I didn't really use a kit ....... I think I used 4 or 5 different vendors to get parts ... Mouser , Mojotone etc ...
I went with Heyboer OT and PT 's and choke ....
Synergy and F&T caps
Vishay Metal Film resistors ..... the ones I used are rated for 2 watts ... but come in the size of 1/2 watters .... ( thank you Marshall Forum )
