replacing PCB with 500K pots, 50's wiring, and RS Guitarcaps
Using braided wiring for new 3-way switchcraft toggle and jack wiring.
New Nickel Suhr Aldrich pickups
New rings with correct angle so pickups will be parallel to strings.

Will update later when I get done

I used to gig with that setup. The Aldrich is made for a Les Paul. :)

That should be a badass guitar when done. I like the top on that one. The tops/colors are all over the place on those it seems. You got pretty flame and no clown.

Great setup OP!!

Do they make the Suhr Aldrich pickups with gold covers? I would love to put a set in my LP Custom.

I couldn't agree more. You should have gotten a push/pull for the tone. These pickups sound great split.

Currently have an Aldrich set in my 2001 Classic. Just installed some bumblebee caps. Loving this setup.

 Finished abut 1:00 am this morning. This is one of those scenarios where you loved the way a guitar felt and played but the stock electronics made you say WTF? How can a guitar sound so great unplugged and sound like a congested chain-smoking transgender (no offense intended, just not my desired tone :D ) plugged into an amp. just got done turning it up this morning, and I think I have a new favorite guitar. I was worried these pickups might be too over the top but the balance well with just abut anything I've put them in.
