:rock: Yo Neddy, glad one of us finally put it out there. Awesome! I wanted to do it but I have to get my crap straight with getting clips to sound good. Damn video camera I have sucks. Nice job.

wish you had a section where the pot was pulled out
Eveything sounds better when the pot comes out :D

Very nice sounding amp...I could be happy gigging with that bad boy! Put me in the "dibs" line ;)

Sounds like a Cameron when the saturation switch is engaged and I don't mean that in a negative way!! Sounds great!!! :rock: :rock: :rock: :rock:

I've listened to many Friedman clips and never been amazed. Maybe thought they were a little fizzy or ratty in the top end? But...that was an amazing sounding video. If that is maybe a truer representation than what I've heard before it's seriously on my radar now. Where can I find a breakdown on the cost of the mods. I didn't see it on Daves site. Do I just need to email Dave through the racksys site? I've got a Metro 69 Build I did that may need this kind of attention.

hey,glad ya liked this "audio" representation of the friedman mods.i agree that "clip" quality can TOTALLY make or break your opinion of an amp's tone.been there myself and many times,after finally getting a chance to try an amp out,i found myself pleasantly surprised at how great it sounded after initially NOT caring for the tone based from someone's posted "clip"...anyways,hopefully Dave Friedman can step in here and correct me if i'm wrong,but...last i heard,the pricing was:

1 mod = $500
2 mods = $600
3 mods = $700 (this is the Kitchen Sink mod w/Brown Eye,C45,and Hairy Brown Eye)

SAT switch = $50

if i've misquoted,i apologize :cry: :D

...oh and BTW,the easiest & best way to reach Dave Friedman is to send him a PM thru the RIG-TALK forum...always gets back to me same or next day :rock:

Sounds awesome... :rock: Reminds me a lot of psychodave's Cameron Jose clips, actually. What type of settings are you using? I haven't found any that sounded "bad" yet.

well,other than the "signal chain" that i've already listed,i ran the amp dry(no fx) and the eq settings are at:

BASS = 1 o'clock
MIDS = 2 o'clock
TREBLE = 2 o'clock
PRESENCE = 11 o'clock
DENSITY = 2 o'clock
GAIN = set at "max" on BE & C45 modes,and just past "3 o'clock" on the HBE mode.

also,entire vid was done using the BRIDGE pup of my guitar...

:)

:D thanks,GAINFREAK! of course,i'll take that in a POSITIVE way.appreciate the input! yeah,the SAT switch setting should sound VERY close to a cameron jose since it's basically THE jose "circuit" along with whatever minor tweaks Friedman gives it.a GREAT feature to have,imo!!! :rock:

What control is this?

I'm pretty sure it's like a Depth or Resonance control; bottom end boost or shave off some highs.

correct! i meant the "DEPTH" knob setting,which controls bottom-end girth.the knob is located on the backside of this amp :)

thanks Michael! i'm surprised & glad that the camcorder i borrowed from my buddy captured the tone as "clearly" as it did :thumbsup: figured youtube might have really compressed/squished the overall sound,but it really didnt...so again :thumbsup:

Ah, must be nice to have a "Depth" knob. Though I was looking for one, and even asked for it to be located in a specific place if possible, Dave didn't put one on my amp.

Thank you Ned for posting this! Man, that amp sounds fantastic! :rock: Now I need a Friedman for sure! I don't even know how to describe the dynamics and tone, but its exactly what I want from a marshall type of amp.
:thumbsup:

it was mainly ALL for YOU,man!!! ;) ...............glad it helped!!! :D ...........................now pull out your credit card & give Friedman's shop a call :lol: :LOL:

Yikes, that sucks that you didn't get something you asked for. I'm sure he'd add it for free, but shipping it back and forth would suck. :thumbsdown:
