Idk.ive never had my 500 go down.cant speak for the 400.We'll see.Last night I ran signal thru it for hrs and just left it running like that ,checking tubes every 45 min or so.Seemed all good.Looks great!

Aren't these essentially 2 Coliseum power sections in one unit? I can only imagine the weight in pounds and in the room hitting palm mutes.
It's close.The M190 & 180 are exact,and those are the only mesa poweramps I've never played yet.Exo-metal has them-he knows mesa poweramps very well.
It’s very easy to do and the way it is designed, it sounds better with a 1000pf cap vs 4700pf which is what people think of for depth since mostly Marshall style amps are getting the depth mod. I used a push pull and go between 1000pf and 3000pf. I never use the 3000pf as it’s too much even turning the pot down. I can help you do it if needed. Takes all of 30 minutes to do.

I appreciate that.thx.Im in middle of a bunch of festivals and gigs,almost 30 coming up soon.I did get home last night in time to split out to the 500 and 400-each into its own 4x12 cab.Real short play thru but cranked up,the 500 w/ those 6550s seems to have a bit more bottom end,but the 400 seems a little more " pure", or clearer in tone.My secret weapon is the tc1128eq.I broadband boosted 125k a tiny bit,and whoa-the 400 turned into a beast.Both amps will just pummel you and hit u in chest hard and tight if u want that.Id say,other than the vhts,I dnt know of any power amps that deliver the kerrang like that.Im happy.
