Picked this up from a forum member a couple weeks ago. I've had great dealings with him before, and this was no exception. Thanks Bobby! Figured I would post a mini review and nad thread after the honeymoon, since I haven't in a while.

I'll start off by saying it's a really fun amp! Kind of a scaled down Herbert, but a little more open and raw sounding IMO. I'm really liking it for the heavier styles I like to play. Great clean channel, and 2 fun lead channels. Takes a boost nice, which I love, but also sounds great straight in. Ch2 is the money for me for rhythms, ch3 is really fun for leads. Probably over the top for a lot of guys if looking for a classic amp, but really fun for the modern rock and metal crowd. I've owned the VH4 and Herbert, and while probably not as versatile as either, I would say this is my favorite sounding of the 3. Still not sure about the white headshell, didn't think I would like it, but it's kind of grown on me, lol.

I know a pic and clip is mandatory for a NAD, so here's a little q3 clip I did when I got it. It's just a bit of wankery, so advanced warning. A lot of guys I know have seen this already, so don't waste your time.

Sounds kick ass Erock!!!    But all of your clips do no matter what amp you play through!!!

Ok but can it do metal? Holy shit that thing has some gain. I loved the Herberts i played. One day i'll get one of these or another rev2 Uberschall

Wow.....that amp sounded really aggressive!!!
Reminded me of the Herbie.

Thanks man, appreciate that. I don't get much time these days for recording, but had to for a new fun toy.

  yeah, I might have went a little overboard on the gain, lol. I was just surprised how well it held together under stupid amounts, lol. I probably should have dialed it back a bit. You would probably dig this amp if you liked the Herbert, it's got a bit more Kerrang to it in the upper mid.

You would dig it man, I've heard your clips, this would be right up your alley Danno.

Sounds great. Super quiet, are you running a noise gate?
Thanks man, it's a really quiet amp, very impressed with that too. I am running a gate, but I can set it very low in comparison to a lot of other amps. It's low enough where I can still easily get feedback if I want it.

Thanks rick, yeah man, I know you've been singing it's praises for a while. Don't think I wasn't listening. Laura flat out rips on anything, lol.

I know man, side effect of liking this thing so much, is now I want the lil Fokker. If this is his idea of the little Herbie, the Fokker is going to smoke as the mini VH4.

Sounds raw. Great clip Eric!!
Thanks brother! The playing isn't on the level of guys like you or Jim, but I think it sounds pretty good for a zoom vid.

So I see you're still rocking the Kemper. Has it really killed all amp gas?

Sounds great :)
I love mine as well. It's got so much punch!

And it is a very quiet amp, in terms of noise. Even with stupid amounts of gain, it's not over the top noisy.

Sounds great, congrats!

Wonder how it would sound paired up with that Twin Jet next to it.... \:D/

I couldn't help but chuckle at the basement insulation on the walls it's all over my videos as well.

So close to ordering this and that clip just put me over the edge.

It's my favorite among what I've owned.

Sounds so big, so versatile.. The clean channel is wonderful, and goes from completely clean to crunchy. Channel two from crunchy to heavy, and three from a little more crunchy to all-out mayhem :D

Yeah, most guys looking at Diezels don't care too much about the clean/crunch stuff. But what Peter created in DMoll and Fokker is truly exceptional and a huge step forward from his earlier stuff IMO. World class, as his heavy and super heavy always was. Not that I wouldn't like the hifi clean he made before, but . . . it is just so much "better", because it has so much more to offer to the player.

You guys are definitely right. I should have talked more about it, it really is an exceptional clean channel. Has that real bell like quality and chime, and I love it's range of gain. Killer amp all around.

Thanks for the comments guys!

This clip is amazing and gets 4.5 out of 5 woodies...

Please tell me about the pickups in your Les Paul and the speakers in your Mills cab that you were using?

THANKS!!!

Haha, thanks Giles! The pickups are BK rebel yells, but it sounds killer with the AM you were interested in too. The speakers are v30 in an x pattern with Scumback J75.

Definitely share that !!!
First week I had it I was not really satisfied and had terrible GAS for VH4.
But now everyday I listen to Dmoll I have less gas for anything else...

Does Lil Fokker have the same type of clean sound than Dmoll???

I have never used so much the clean channel of my amp since I have Dmoll.

Cheers.
