Im pretty sure I tried the JJ E34Ls a while back and found them to def have a good deal more bass than the JJ EL34 , they also had a bit more grind or "crunch" in the mids from what I remember

So these are my results in the Bogner and to give a quick result I kept the Gold Lions in it for now but would also be happy with the Chinese BSTR tubes , its a toss up for me so far as I like both for different reasons I think the Bogner is one of those amps that has a prominent midrange thats awesome but the JJ EL34s dont seem to go as well because those tubes also have a ton of mids and lean lowend :
The Chinese EL34bstr ( Ruby or Tad ) : These are the biggest and meanest sounding out of the bunch, the most lowend (still tight though) These have a somewhat dark overall sound , relaxed mids compared to the others , not harsh but a nice grind in the low mids. Really like them but I think these would work best with an amp that has a forward midrange and is somewhat lean on the bass so everything would balance out. Works great in the Bogner because it fits that description.
Gold Lion KT77 : Awesome sounding tube somewhat similar to the Ruby EL34 in that they are a bit dark and not very forward in the mids but are smother and have less bass , a bit more compression and a silky high end. These could possibly sound dull in the wrong amp but smooth out and amp that is aggressive.
JJ EL34 and KT77 : I will mention these since I just tried them in comparison. These two sets sound very similar to eachother. They have a lean lowend with a very forward midrange and are brighter than the other brands I tried today. but the KT77 as you would expect have a bit more bass and less mids ,once again they are very close. I would pick the KT77s over the EL34 when it comes to the JJs because the EL34 has very little bass, the least bass out of all the tubes I tried today. The KT77 are a bit more even and full. In the Eclipse I liked the Ruby and Gold lion tubes more but have liked the JJs in several other amps. They would work great in an amp that has a Big lowend.
