I just got my hands a brand new Fryette Deliverance 120 series II and it sounds amazing. One of the most dynamic and clear amps i've ever heard. The only question i have is when i turn the amp on there seems to be a little amp hum and noise floor. I was wondering if anyone here has dealt with this on this amp before, should i try new pre amp tubes? I tried nothing connected and it still generates some hum and noise.

Mine does the same thing but it is slight. I am not sure how loud you are talking? Enjoy it! It is a great amp!

Is the hum coming out of the speaker only? Some of those big bad ass transformers will hum a little all by themselves.

Hmmm mine was one of the quietest amps ive owned, and dont remember that. I had both gains somewhere in the middle, and hit it with a boost though... it was way more quiet than my recto or evh heads.

Yeah I've read alot of posts how quiet this amp is suppose to be so I started a return process already. Tried different preamp tubes too, shame, loved the amp just too noisey.

I returned one...squealed like a stuck pig and was noisy when the gain was anything above moderate levels. I also just didn't like the amp's gain structure and general tone, but of course that's just preference related.
