Wow. You sir just had the most epic NAD I have ever seen. Three amps is amazing but three Wizards? That's serious. Congratulations

That's just a complete throw down of mass aural sex! Congratz!!!

Would love to hear your thoughts on the MTL in a modern metal context; if your into that kind of stuff of course.

I'm not sure what year my 50 watt modern classic does anyone here know where to look? it does pop I would love to get this fixed and or possibly upgraded

what is the serial number? I have numbers 553, 554, 557 and 503.. all were made in 2010 except for 503, which had the pop only when the overdrive channel was set higher than the clean. If you are not sure if yours pops then its safe to say it doesnt. You would definitely hear it.

4 Wizards? That qualifies you as the Rockinchippy of Wizards

I wonder how unique can the wizard MTL or MC2 be from most modified marshall sound....like VHT and diezel has its own signature tone... so has the wizards got its own tone thats distinct ?

I think so I've had many Marshalls over the years and the Wizard I have has its own thing going on.

Live they remind me a bit of a boosted Jubilee, but much bigger or rounder sounding. I really like a boosted Jubilee, so after I get my MTL on Tuesday I will find out for sure.

Marshall Silver Jubilee, from 1987-88 and reissued last year as the 2555x. Put a boost pedal or two in front and they are very sweet sounding rigs.

They do indeed have 240 taps, just needs to be rewired

WM561 is my serial number and yes it pops.

You can have that fixed and the updates added by Rick if you decide you want to ship it... I didn't have an issue with it really..esp at volume. But he does a change to the bright caps on both channels when he does the updates and I think this alters the high end at low volumes- by decreasing it a tad- then when you get to two on the volume its back where it always was.

Damn. Just damn. Three Wizards. Congrats! I have wanted to try the MC2 forever, but never had a chance to play or even hear a Wizard in person.

I used to own two Jubilees (well one was the Salsh Sig.) and haven't had a chance to test a Wizard. A comparrision would really be interesting.

I have had a 2555x it's a great amp. I can't compare my wizards though, I can't say they are anything alike. I have owned a lot of amps high end to low end and the wizards are like nothing I ever owned. The MTL covers all my bass from low gain blues to high gain more than you ever need and then a boost option on top.

All in all the best amps I have owned or played. The mtl took to some time dial in and get the switching setup. Now it's all done it's going nowhere.

I just got my first Wizard, a 50w MTL. Now that I've had it a couple days, no...it is not like my Jubilees that I've owned. Or even like a Marshall..it really has its own thing going on. But, I do feel the LIVE tone I heard from Pretty Reckless was Jubilee like..maybe he uses an MCII? Great amp though.
