So around 5:00pm my Bogner Ecstasy 101b I bought from the classifieds here arrived. SLOgriff did an excellent job packing the amp well and it is super clean. The amp looks new. Absolutely no signs of use. Highly recommend SLO griff. Would buy from him again no problem!!

Well it's cold as a witches tit here in PA. So after unpacking I let it aclimate for almost an hour. Then I finally hooked it all up with a Boss DD-3 in the loop. I let it warm up in standby for 5-10 minutes. Then I fired it up and dove into the settings. I'm pretty happy with where I got after only a few minutes. Here is my only issue... couldn't crank it up. My 4yo is sick with an ear infection. So to compensate for the low volume I used more Presence than I normally would. Again I just got it so I have a lot of experimenting to do. I LOVE this amp!! For those that say it's to compressed or dark all I can say is back off the gain knobs a bit. After about 2:00 the gain knobs compress more than they add gain. Set the red channel at 1-2:00 with the boost engaged and there is gain and sustain for days, and thats with the powersection hardly working. I can only imagine what tones I'll get when I finally get some volume behind this beautiful beast.

Anyways I always ask you guys for clips of your new gear so... again really low volume and the Pres was higher than it would be if I added some real volume Take it with a grain of salt...

HNAD, that's pretty sweet sounding, amp and playing! And I'll always ask the question, what speakers do you have in the cab? :D

Sounds fantastic Jim. I think I like the Blue channel more than Red.

I love both. I own both. Life is good. Now about that TAG vid :gethim: :D

Congrats on acquiring that amp. Sounds really nice, makes me miss mine now.

Sounds glorious! I always thought the Ecstasy was a dark and woody amp, but it seems it can be (good) bright and tight as well :)

Congrats!!! Your playing slays!!! I owned a 101B and it is a fine amp.

Nice man!!! Very fluid/liquid sounding amp.......That red channel was so smooth.

I dig it. Got a real depth to notes and chords, especially with the delay on. HNAD man. Sounds great.

Hey Jim, so glad you're liking the Ecstasy! Thanks for the kind words!

Damn that sounds killer.
Since I've got my Bogner Red pedals I've really been paying attention to the Bogner tone and I love it.
Congrats!

Sounds great bro, the 101B is an awesome amp. Loved mine

That does sound good. It seems like it just screams on the red channel.

That sounds great across all channels! I miss jamming the 101b. Awesome amps.
Congrats!
