I remember the first add for this. It just showed the amp covered in an EVH striped blanket . Didn’t say what it was
 
These are the best of the 5150 line. Throw some Sovtek 5881s in there and connect to an external 412. One of the best tones I’ve ever had
played the half stack and the combo the first week peavey released the 5150 product line. i was smitten by the 4x12 but the head nor the combo was really my cup of tea.

i tried the amps first, then ran my triaxis rack into a peavey classic 120 stereo power amp into two 5150 4x12s at the music store and that punched face.

awesome. I've always passed on those things and I don't know why....killer amps.
 
The 5150 combo was my favorite tone wise of the Peaveys. Sounded great straight in. Heavy as shit though.

I still have one. High input is fucked up on mine, but it doesn't really matter because the low input still has more gain than anyone could ever need :LOL:

Awesome sounding amps.

Also the most cumbersome amp ever yet built
