Right? That bitch should rot in jail for corruption.

I mean, she has made 228 trades since 2014. That's fucking criminal.

Oh, wait...

- Trump made 675 trades on January 30, 2025 alone. (Far more in one day than the corrupt bitch's entire career)

-Trump has made more trades than the entire congress combined.

Bloomberg identified approximately 28,700 trades during the first 17 months of his second presidency—more than all members of Congress combined during that period.

No. Insider trading is illegal for Donald Trump, just as it is for everyone else. The fact that he's president does not give him a blanket exemption from federal securities laws.

Under US law, insider trading generally involves buying or selling securities using material, nonpublic information in breach of a duty of trust or confidence.

For Trump, the concern is particularly serious because he can influence markets through decisions about tariffs, sanctions, government contracts and economic policy—and potentially know about those decisions before investors do.

But making thousands of trades while serving as president isn't automatically insider trading. Prosecutors would need evidence connecting particular transactions to unlawful use of privileged information.

- What's particularly concerning

Bloomberg found that Trump or his investment managers made approximately 28,700 securities trades in 17 months, more than all members of Congress combined.

There are also specific transactions that warrant scrutiny:

- April 2026: Trump's investment accounts sold between $500,000 and $1 million in ExxonMobil shares on the day he announced an Iran ceasefire. Exxon shares opened 6.5% lower the following morning.

- 2026 corporate investments: His accounts traded shares in companies such as Nvidia, Palantir and Eli Lilly while his administration made decisions affecting those industries. That raises potential conflicts of interest.

- April 2025 tariffs: Trump publicly encouraged buying stocks hours before announcing a tariff pause that sent markets soaring.

The Trump Organization maintains that independent investment managers control the transactions without Trump's input. That explanation has not been disproven by the disclosures.

## Is the president exempt from conflict-of-interest laws?

Here's the troubling part: the president is exempt from the principal federal criminal conflict-of-interest statute, 18 U.S.C. §208, even though securities fraud laws can still apply.

Furthermore, the Supreme Court's 2024 presidential-immunity ruling complicates criminal prosecution involving official presidential actions.

My conclusion: Trump's trading activity raises legitimate and serious conflict-of-interest concerns, particularly when transactions coincide with market-moving decisions he controls.

The larger problem is that American law allows a president to maintain enormous financial investments in industries directly affected by his own decisions, without requiring a genuine blind trust.

I never said insider trading, which is obviously illegal for everyone.
More backfire.
Of course you didn't. Are you denying that it was insider trading? Lol.
Pretty sure everyone in government is doing insider trading. One of many things Republicans and Democrats are united on.
Oh, ok, if everyone's breaking the law (they aren't) you think it's ok. As long as everyone's doing it. Just shrug and live with it. This jives perfectly with you saying you don't vote. You're a useless citizen.

I'm a useless citizen too. I have never voted and I ignore jury summonses. That's a ban-worthy statement over at TGP. Feels good though.

That isn't what I was saying at all. Your brain is so fried from all the foaming at the mouth you do, you lack even a shred of discernment.

Von, I like you despite the fact we disagree on almost every basic principle we each hold. I don't mind that at all and I suspect neither do you.

But, not voting by intention, I gotta tell you that I will disagree strongly with you on that point. Like the cliche says "freedom ain't free" and voting is a small inconvenience to pay. Ya, no one running accurately represents me either up here but yet I consider it my patriotic duty to go and vote for those who will do me and the country the least harm.

And with that, I'll bow out.

Maybe try speaking with a little more clarity then. Just sayin.

I believe that the supposed "freedom" we have here, in my lifetime, has been mostly propaganda and feel good lip service. Too many rules, too many regulations, too many taxes. Where is the freedom? Seems like it's most present when I refuse to vote or participate in a system that is basically set up as an enemy of the people it was set up to serve. I have the freedom to leave this country and eventually may well utilize that to go to someplace else that also lacks real freedom. Real freedom is found only in Christ. I have no beef with those who vote, my wife voted. It's just not something I feel compelled or called to do, so I leave it to those who feel the compulsion. All good James, have a great day.

I vote and go to court when I have to. US is under siege & America first, please.

Drain the swamp and the swamp creatures lurking about, please - I live here. Our voice is the most precious thing we have and our system is unjust and upside down - it’s broken and we should fix it. Simple. VB, you damn hippie..lol. Of course I’m kidding, it's your right not to vote 🍻. I get it.
