Hi guys,
Forum newbie here
Was wondering if I could get some advice on a good delay/reverb? Mainly for home recording, solos and stuff. I went from using an amp modeler that had all that stuff (delay/reverb) built in which sounded great for recordings but not so good for the actual guitar tones (the amp itself). I'm now having a blast with my Friedman Pink Taco but feel it sounds just a bit dry on my recordings without some reverb/delay.
So far I've spent a ton of time researching on youtube and the ones I thought sounded great were the Keeley Multi Echo, the Strymon El Capistan, and the TC Flashback. I'm ok with spending a few bucks for a good product, just having a hard time picking something that will sound awesome.
And since I'm asking maybe a recommendation on boost/overdrive as well? Are Ibanez tube screamers still the thing? (been out of the loop for 15 years or so). I notice my Friedman amp with hot/active pickups are great for high gain but my stock Gibsons sound more hard rock than thrash. I play mostly thrash stuff so I feel I just might need just a little something to make my Gibsons a bit heavier sounding (without having to change the pickups).
Thanks, looking forward to some advice!
