Ok....been tossing around some new/different amps the past 6 months.
Just picked up a MINT MINT!!!! Framus Cobra. :rock:
Had one several years ago. Traded it off for some Weak Sauce amp that was flavor of the month.
Kicking myself since. :doh:

The Cobra is NO JOKE fellas. ;)
Like the best Mesa Recto you love.....then inject it with Roids and human growth Hormone. :D
Just a fucking banging amp. :)
 
Havent made clips in a couple years. My Zoom Q3 died and havent replaced it.
Tried some phone clips.....meh.
cant do the amp justice. :lol: :LOL:

Doesn't get much talk around here. But it's just such a fuck'n slayer of an amp, it doesn't need the affirmation of the R-T amp of the month club. Just plug in and make total destroy. And then you switch to the clean and you're like, "whaaaa??!" Not two features you'd typically find or expect in such an extreme amp.

The prices are dropping like crazy, too. They're selling for half of what I bought mine for back in the day.

Will get a few pics of this and post later. My drummer has more picky ears then me for metal tone and he said man that's a mean bitch. Should of named it "ex-wife' :lol: :LOL:
 
Back when I was in a straight up metal band, I wanted either a Cobra or an uberschall. Still haven't played either. :aww:
 
I've almost bought one of these a few times.. Congrats!
 
Never played an Uber. But man that Cobra is really a great sounding amp and it has no problem cutting thru a mix of live drums.
I think they are discontinued??
Checked the Framus web site and nothing about sales or prices on them. Just some specs.

Great. Even harder to find em in pristine condition. That's truly a rarity. They're usually beat to rat shit.

I went down a rough road financially wise the last 10 years. Getting back on my feet and just having fun with my hobby.
Mentioned before....some guys golf... Collect cars..... I like to buy and play gear.
Just living my high school dream today. Jammin with my best friend on drums.

Congrats, Dan! Big fan of the Cobra here! Killer amp when set up correctly. VERY picky when it comes to cabinets and settings. My buddy bought a Cobra 1/2 stack and said it sucked, and he couldn't get a good sound out of it. He had the channel volume at noon, and that needs to be dimed. So I did that and turned a few more knobs and he about shit himself over the difference. I had one and sold it to another friend, who sent it to FJA for some mods, and that amp is even meaner yet. :thumbsup:
