this is the 2nd one I owned. And it is exactly as I remember. 
I seriously was surprised when someone told me they discontinued the amps.
Went to the Framus web site and its just guitars.
It has the amp on there.....but pretty much just the specs.
Very very Recto-ish but meaner sounding. Also really defined and the notes are crisp even at high gain. No Blur.

The cobra is such a badass amp. I will never sell mine. Every one said how heavy an uberschall rev 2 is, but compared to the cobra it takes a back seat. Another thing that is cool with the cobra is you can pick one up for cheap that is all stained with finger prints, then just black face it.

I use my two 4x12 Randall Lynch cabs. Graphic EQ in the loop. And a Timmy boost out front (as if needed)
Already got 4 guys that sent me a 'dibs' message.
Just a great KILLER metal amp.

Out of all my cabs, I still think the Cobra cab sounds the best with the Cobra (imagine that lol). That front loaded cab with greenbacks brings out the brutal in the Cobra. Framus knew what they were doing when they chose the greenback speaker with the Cobra's voicing and the front load design.For sure....out of all the amps I have owned....played....that damn Cobra is in the top 3. The Cobra cabs are kind of weird too, they are really hard to find, but if you have one and want to sell it, nobody wants it unless you're willing to dump it cheap, since it doesn't really pair well with other amps. What I want is a strait Cobra cab, mine is angled.

That could be dangerous especially when I was a collector for 10 years.
Owned over 400 electrics during that time period. Most I had 'at one time' in a single room was 45.
Sad thing was I really wasnt playing em. 90% of the time they just stayed in the case.

Congrats dude! Always fan girled over the Framus Cobra's, but heard they were touchy and very subjective to cabs/speakers. I was set on a Vader Cab with Eminence legends, and if these came out with Greenbacks, and i've heard they aren't even to flash with V30's, i get the feeling it wouldn't sound too great through my Vader.

The other thing I found with mine is that KT77's sound GREAT in the Cobra. That amp has so much "fizz" or saturation that the 77's help clean some of that up a bit.

Dude, the Cobra is an absolute monster of an amp. I have had 2 and straight outta the box they just ROAR.

Framus cobra was the first real expensive Tube Head i ever wanted to buy. Nearly did it about 3 times as well, but always found something else i wanted too, that was cheaper (and that was more important when i was younger and short of lots of cash - hell i still am but what the hey haha), but always consider them. It definitely seems like one of those amps you mesh well with or hate though, there is so much over the top positive feedback and opinions and so many people who just hate them. Still keen to hear one. Can't see myself pulling the trigger without playing one first, which is hard where i live. Maybe one day
