I just hear his alnico speakers in all of his clips. He uses a Mesanovic ribbon mic that is supposed to be a little bit brighter than a "typical" ribbon. I know it's my opinion, but expensive speakers and expensive microphones don't always yield great results in all applications.

I wish he would use a V30/Greenback/H30/Scumback/Creamback, a 57 at the edge of the dust cap and blend the ribbon in. That's just my humble opinion.

I don’t mind Reza’s tones a lot of the time but that video showed the new 104 to be pretty extremely tight and bright to the point of sounding almost thin, which I doubt is representative of what any Ecstasy, new revision or not, would sound like in the vast majority of other people’s rigs.

From the other dude's clip that was just posted, it sounds like it has a little more "teeth" and grind to it.

. That zero channel sounds cool and something different. The Blue and Red channels sound more modern than what I associate with the XTC. Not gonna form any real opinion based on these two clips. Both seem to dial in too much fizz and flub for me... but to each his own. I am sure that amp can be dialed in to sound great!

Looking forward to some more demos coming out. I’m assuming Nielsen has one and I love his demos. He mentioned on his livestream last week he had something new from Bogner that would replace his 50w Ecstasy and I guess this is it. Didn’t anticipate becoming a Bogner fanboy this year - but here I am.

Agree on the very fizzy sound. Hoping this might have a few 101b’s show up for a decent deal from people wanting to get this instead.
