New Bogner XTC 104BV

Agree on the very fizzy sound. Hoping this might have a few 101b’s show up for a decent deal from people wanting to get this instead.
I think the fizz and flub is how these guys are dialing it in. especially Reza... My friend Steve, aka Tonedog, loves his and he has good ears and similar taste, so I have to think these clips are not a great example.

I bet the amp sounds amazing but that dude made it sound so tinny and fizzy. Maybe it was the mic and placement. But it does sound brighter than 101 for sure

I hope not

I am surprised he didn't offer the Pandora with some tweaks instead of this.
4 channels , but appears to be a bit streamlined a bit on all the features of the original 101b, although having a resonance/depth feature is a plus!

On the XTC's I have owned several over the years , I always wished he would offer independent tone controls for the Blue and red channels myself, but with that being said I still love my 101b and would like to check one of these out at some point, but not sure I would be ready to buy one so far.

It definitely appears to be a streamlined (or perfected) 101b. I won’t be selling mine anytime soon but this one definitely has my attention. The master vol now works independent of the loop - that’s a great change. As the man himself says in video 1, “higher channel vol’s sound best” - he’s right. I’d prefer the MV remained on back of the amp & the presence knob stayed out front, but whatever. The purple channel sounds really interesting, in a very good way. The changes to the blue/red channels interactions are completely logical and the now assignable (vs modal) boost is a welcome upgrade. Cool amp.

I had a Pandora for a little while and that amp had so many features and switches that I thought it was going to be my favorite XTC, but I found myself constantly tweaking knobs, switches, etc... only to find at the time that I preferred the sound and feel of the original 101b more, but always wished I could revisit the Pandora amp but I guess they are not doing that version anymore. This new one has my interest though, but if the street price is around 4400 ? I will certainly need to play one and compare to my original 101b to make final judgement if I would add it to the amp stable

You really have to hand it this guy...He managed to take an amp broadly known for it's warm thickness, organic qualities and richness in the mids...And make it sound cold, thin and somehow digitally processed. Very talented individual.
Well as we all know clips can be misleading and can be hard to get the overall vibe until you actually have it in your own environment.

Listening to his clips compared to Reza's they sound very different so that is something to take into consideration as well.

Pretty cool amp. I love the 101B and this offers a bit more. I like the idea of simplifying some things. My days of heads and cabs are over but this def is cool.

I don't mind Reza's demo....It's the Alnicos that make it brighter/tighter. Other guy is using an Ox Box. Will wait to hear other demos too. One thing I said to myself on the Reza video/walk-through, is Rheinhold isn't really selling me on it when he was explaining things. Not that he needs to fake it or be scripted in his stuff, it's just a lot of "um" and the being kinda vague. Not doubting though it'll be pretty cool.
