Yes sir!

I traded a Gibson Explorer for a MK IV medium head then i traded the MK IV for a 1985 Les Paul.
Can't say much bad about the MK IV other than its a dated type tone.
It was a beast tho.

That amp can be dialed in to do anything. If it sounds “dated,” that would be user error.

Well considering Metallica played AXE FX II's & III's live the last 2 tours dated is accurate.

You played Of Wolf and Man, but no AJFA song? I am disappoint...
Nice, a bit too much gain for my taste, but that's me.

Haha I had the settings for a crunch not so scooped tone! I'll be posting some more clips in the following days!

Then I guess Diezels and Wizards are also dated, right? Cool story, bruh.

Cool tone!! Dated? This is rigtalk right? Damn. Tubes will never be dated, that has been attempted for several decades and the glass still moves the air!!!! Cool rig/riffin!!

Metallica sounds like shit compared to the old days when they used just Mesa, Marshall. And the CrapFX is out of convenience more than anything.

My MK IV i traded it for a Les Paul because i had too many amps and was in the market for a Gibson.
I can get MK IV tones out of my MK III or Dual Rec.
Its a production amp thats 20 years old. Not that unique.
And the longer i owned it the more likely i would have had to have it repaired and none of my tech's in town would touch it with a 10 foot pole.
Not shelling out a grand+ to send it to Bendinelli @ Mesa.
It served me well. I don't miss it.
