I guess with a rig like I posted above, I would need 18 or so loops, and 5-6 preset buttons on the bottom row.

Fender, Naked, Mark IV Clean, Mark IV Rhythm, Mark IV Lead

Compressor, Flanger, 2nd Flanger (Frostbite), Chorus, 2nd Chorus (EHX Small Clone or PolyChorus) Reverb, Delay, Boost, 2nd Boost, Fuzz

I count 15 control functions (17) including the 1210 and Lexicon

Fender Select
Naked Select
MKIV Select
MKIV Clean/Crunch
MKIV Lead
Compressor
Flanger
2nd Flanger (Frostbite)
Chorus
2nd Chorus (EHX Small Clone or PolyChorus)
Reverb
Delay
Boost
2nd Boost
Fuzz
Yup, 15. Save the other loops for expansion in the future

Oh ya, don't know if you've seen this but if not, perhaps it'll spawn some ideas:

If I keep talking to you, my GAS for a new rig is just gonna keep getting worse and worse!

Did you get a chance to check out those videos I sent you? I'm a little embarrassed by the playing :aww:

I did, and commented back at some guy who was with is undies in a twist. Told him he should learn to bend to pitch, and that he was a douche of the highest magnitude.

Brah, that phone records surprisingly well.  If you weren't sitting so close to it, so you couldn't hear your guitar strings ringing acoustically, it would've sounded like you were cranking-- as opposed to playing so quietly.

Ah, I just saw that. WTF is up with that dude? I have NO idea what he's talking about. Don't know him at all.

I'm really surprised at how well the iPhone 4 picks up my amp. I was keeping the Master Output around 9 o'clock in those videos. Any higher, and the low end gets mushy/muffled on the phone. Sounds great in the room though

Wha'd you think of the tone? Ignore the poor playing

Glad to see Bob finally got with the program and started using some Alpha-Numeric displays! I do like the RS10 and the ease of programming, but, it is cumbersome. That will the end of an era for damn sure, phasing it out, when you think of how many pro boards they have been on.

Me too. I am very interested in a CAE controller w/ the LCD screen and it's features, with the ability to interface w/ a computer for programming. That'll make programming, for me, WAY easier-- but there is no getting away from MIDI mapping the individual devices. I want it to be the same size though, not smaller-- as the replacement of my double expanded RS10 (I use all of the IA switches).

Dr. Bob must have been busy in the lab with this one. He is supposed to be getting me an extender module for my RS10 and he did say it was being phased out and the few that he has around will be the last of them. He didn't say anything about the new one though and I figured he was staying with the RS5. Did you talk to him Zack to see when these are available?

i didn't... I just found out about them via his site and from what was posted on HRI.

Very nice layout – I like the 8 buttons in the bottom row, I'm too stupid and too much of a savage to tap-dance multi-row controllers.

But nice as it looks... can I afford it? And actually buy from somewhere?

Old news... My concern is product support.

Ever try getting ahold of Sir Bradshaw??

Really, what a waste of time. I was trying to give him $1495 for an amp switcher. Sent several emails. Left voicemails. Got ZERO response. Ridiculous. What kind of businessman just ignores over $1495 in revenue? Ended up getting the Egnater switcher, which does everything I need and was half the price. Thanks for nuthin'. Bob!

Steve - yes, and that too. He has had my deposit for for over a year on a rack interface/switcher. Reminds me of someone else...When he finally emailed me back I told him that I would make it easy, and he could just send me an extension for the RS10 which he agreed to along with goodies. Still waiting on all that. Which is why, I am sending my business to LASD.
