Looking for a multi-delay pedal. I've got the flashback x4 and it sounds great....but I'm on my second one. The buttons just absolutely suck and work about half the time. I've never had this kind of issue from any other manufacturer so I think I'm going to relegate the X4 to the bedroom and go another direction. The Strymon Timeline is way up on my list but it's pricey.

What have you tried that you liked?

I have 2 delays. The one on my "big" board is a Strymon Timeline. It's amazing. I have a Flashback on my small board. The Timeline is one of the pieces of gear I'd never sell.

I just got a Source Audio Nemesis not long ago, and it's killer. It knocked my Boss DD-20 off my board after 6 years.

I've used some of the less expensive delays (like Ekko and Carbon Copy) and some nicer ones like the EH Memory Man (which I love but they're quirky) and H&K Replex (awesome delays but huge tone suck) and I always go back to the DD-20. I keep trying to reduce the footprint and haven't found one that even sounds as good much less have all the versatility. And it seems any 'upgrade' from the DD-20 is boocoo $$. Timeline is on the short list for me too, need to check out that Nemesis.

Keep an eye out for whenever Prymaxe has their next 20% off sale. I was able to get my Nemesis for $240. I don't think you will be disappointed.

I had the timeline but found i only used the tape sound. I love my el capistan. I have tried other pedals and it just sits well with every level of gain i can throw at it.

Source Audio - Nemesis
Got a Nemesis over the weekend and it sounds awesome. Unless I'm missing it, I don't see a dual-head engine which I didn't use often (with the DD-20) but did occasionally have fun with. Footprint is better. Having issues with the app though, I can't 'save' the hardware options. I switch them and then back out (there is no 'save' button) but when I go back into Hardware Options the switches are back at factory settings.

+ 1 Timeline
El Cap or Brigadier (for analog) and Dig (for digital) and chalked full of delay tones too if your only into digital or analog.

you can do some pretty funky stuff with the El Cap....I love it

Tech 21 Boost DLA is an extremely underrated pedal...

Yes, I was shocked at how simple and effective it is on my Kotzen fly-rig which is another great discussion.

THIS is the best digital delay out there. I have owned the Timeline, Echolution 2 Deluxe and H9, none of them slouches, and the Nemesis just kills for my needs. On it's own it is stellar, add in the Neuro app and it opens a whole new world.
