Well, New to me anyway! I have a used Mod 50 on the way, and have no mods, so the search is on! Looking for a SL2, and a Bassman or other clean Mod asap. Thanks for looking!
From personal experience, the VX is AWESOME, and the Bman is the only Eggy module I've ever sold. It blew me away at the amp lounge, but with my gear, it just didn't inspire me. The clean is kinda plain without a single coil guitar with some character in its tone.

Vx rocks! Like they said, do a single coil/split in channel A and you're in chime heaven, and the B channel gets surprisingly heavy! not ultra extreme death metal heavy, but for me it's just right.
I really like the Sl2 A channel, great ac/dc crunch. B channel has a lot more gain doing that modern Marshall thing, I may swap out some tubes in mine to tame channel B down just a little bit though, but even then it's still great. It's actually perfect for aggressive rock leads! You can get a slight hair on the note but not full of fizz and noise.
I like my dlx cleans too I still need to get my hands on an BMAN, and I got an EG5 in the mail...
If anyone is interested in a single channel VX I have one I would part ways with for $215 shipped. It was just tweaked by Bruce himself a few months ago. I found this module to be very sensitive to tube changes. To me, the VX is either Vox chime or mid gain Vox roar all based on the tube in V1. I tried it with a ECC81, ECC83S and a 12AX7 rated high gain and all three really changed the module, more than the gain knob alone. Depending on the tube, it went anywhere from The Edge on The Joshua Tree to Brian May. So I guess it just depends on how you want it to respond. Great module at a great price, I just don't use it enough to justify keeping it.
