I'm from Michigan as well. Born and raised in Flint/Swartz Creek.

Moved to Az. in '91.

My dad lived in kalamazoo for a bit! he was born in grand rapids!

thanks everyone!!

and yes powerlite was also a sick company! my friend had a sweet powerlite. my first bmx was a dyno nsx, and then i had a haro backtrail! go ryan nyquist!

Hilarious, I opened this thread and I'm currently watching Batman, The Animated series. I do think he looks more like Krypto though. My Wife and I just moved and can't wait to get settled so we can get a dog. Our last one passed away just before last Christmas and we need 4 legs around here STAT….no disrespect to any tripods of course.

I remember riding BMX in the very early 80's. Thing was a cheap, bike store tank compared to later bikes. I remember when bikes first started appearing with shocks. It was considered so bad ass and Diamondbacks with Shimano pedals etc were elite type shit. We used to jump our bikes into the local river off a ramp at the end of a pier and best of all was jumping small cars at an abandoned gas station at the age of 11-12 using ply boards on piles of tires! Didn't even know to build a landing ramp and we just would hit the concrete on the other side and shake some bones loose. We would haul ass down hills just so we could lock up our rear tire to the point of bursting it. Good times.

Oh yeah, welcome and I do dig those EC combo's. Would not say no to a Twinolux but I wouldn't waste it's raw beauty by driving it with single coils.

Welcome Arizona girl!

Always nice to have a girl in here

thanks guys!

And skoora, I hear that, you sound like you need a dog! Im sorry to hear yours passed :-( my dogs at my grandmas house are getting up there in age. Going to break my heart when they go :-( I hope to have 13 more years with Bingley here, hes only 10 months. We will see. Hes so darn cute and fun!

I rode my bike in water basins and ditches ALL THE TIME growing up. One of the most fun places to ride in my opinion. I have some pictures from over the years but I was never really good on a bike compared to the people who really do ride like pros. I never had the time I guess. Had to split my time between school, guitar, basketball, riding, and then later college. But, I still love riding!

As for my EC amp, Id love a twin too by the way, but yeah I do play it with singles! haha. I have one hollow body dual humbucker guitar, but the amp doesnt put out a good clean tone, so I never plug that in :-(. Its my only amp too. So thats that haha!

I used to have a '57 Twin reissue amp and always regretted selling it. Sounded great for bass too.

Welcome! Is your pup a Siberian? Looks like at least part...I've had 3 Siberians and a Malamute over the years. Fun loyal dogs but they get MAD at you if you don't include them..like leave them in the backyard for a few hours, come home and you have to replace some siding...true story. Lots of good peeps around here, great source for gear opinions...

you should see my kitchen walls haha. hes definitely part husky!

that 57 twin amp sounds rad, i sometimes regret selling gear too!

I have a 13 year old Beagle who is still going strong. He had both his back knees replaced by the time he was 4, had a surgery on his stomach, and was torn to shreds by a god damn pit bull, but he keeps on going. Just had a check up and the vet said all he needs is to drop about 10 pounds, other than that, good health.

Welcome! You have some nice gear. I really dig the JM strat and the EC amp. I've always been a strat guy. Single coils sound best to me for clean tones and mildly overdriven tones, which is mainly wwhat I play. I recently traded one of my strats for a PRS Custom 22 with a solid rosewood neck. The Dragon II pickups are a bit too hot for me, that guitar plays so good. It's made me get into PRS's. I want some lower output pickups like PAF - type, then it'll be perfect. Right now there's just too much bass and low mids, and it drives the crap out of my amp(which is actually pretty cool).
Welcome aboard! I've just gotten in to mountain biking. Love it!

Welcome! I think you just doubled the female rigtalk population!

hahaha glad i could add to the female population!

id love a PRS someday. Just dont have the money these days! theyre such nice guitars!!
