Granted I only spent about 7 seconds skipping through the video in the OP but I didn't hear any guitars. Not much on Wikipedia except that they are a 'virtual' band from Britian. Seems very cartoonish and fake. But I guess the kids like it because 1 video has a billion views
It kind of reminds me of the kind of music they played in theatres in 2012 before the previews came on

The kids of today don't know shit about shit. Not even sure the Earth isn't flat. o_O

My 15 yr old daughter LOVES Gorillaz.

We watched them on SNL last night and she really liked the performance.

Um maybe because they are one of the most influential bands of the past decade or two....... :dunno:

Well don't........ But not sure who else is here is having an international tour and selling tickets at Madison Square Garden :dunno:
If you've ever been to NYC you know the musical taste there is pretty awful. Looks like the Charlotte show isn't selling too well.

I remember when their first album came out and everyone I knew was talking about it and loved it. I also remember thinking "uh oh, this is going to be bigger than Blur". Blur's band members were a bit pissed off in the beginning, but you can't hate someone for being successful. If you dislike someone, let it be because you don't like their content or music. Gorillaz first album still sits up there as an album I can listen to almost any day. A lot of their later stuff sounds like garbage to me, but so what. No one writes good stuff at all times. I like the songs of theirs that have less rap and less guests. Snoop Dogg song in 2010's Plastic Beach album is... not for me.

Well as the saying goes you cant always bat 1.000 but they must be doing something right :dunno:

I can believe it. They've had a huge influence on me just from watching 30 seconds of the video. The influenced me on how to not sound like shit.
Yes and that's why they have an international tour and selling tickets across America and internationally....... And others are not
