New single released, new album coming out

Hey guys been away for a minute, but I just wanted to share a track off this upcoming album of mine. In hindsight, it's not my favorite recorded tones I've ever had but I was going for something a little more classic doom than I usually do. This is a Matamp GT2 with a DAM Meathead Deluxe in front. EMG loaded baritone and going into a Boss Waza Core. After a lot of consideration I've decided that dialing in IRs just right is more of a headache than actually just mic'ing a cab, so I'm back to doing that. I also have a Diezel Paul on the way and have sold the Matamp. Loved the Matamp but I'm so looking forward to that Diezel growl again!

Thanks dude! To me it's a little pokey in the upper mids. The Matamps a very brutal and raw sounding, a wild type of tone. They can get unruly. Lots of fun to play on though. I'm probably overanalyzing. Overall I'm really happy with the album and songs. Looking forward to getting a Diezel back in the fold

Dude that times great . I like it pokey so a lil is cool to me . But I also don’t play doom .
My doom tone is an SG into a 78 220(3 cranked all eqs dimed and a Koko boost turned to 10 . No noisegate . I’d love to record it . I like playing doom but drummers here just brrrrrrrttrrrrrrr all the time they play
I think your tone is doomy with a entombed type blend to it

Yeah, I'm big stoner/doom/death metal lover, and you definitely nailed it on that recording.

Not so hard, just not cheap. lol. I ordered mine direct from Matamp a few years ago. I wanted to try out some more vintage type amps for playing heavy stuff. I also ended up with a Hiwatt DR103, Reeves Custom 100, and vintage Ampeg VT22. The Hiwatt and Reeves are my two favorites by a good margin, but the Matamp kicks all kinds of ass too.

Badass, you must've gotten one of the last few before they stopped making them. They lost their transformer supplier and had to switch brands iirc. I could see getting another Matamp some day. I've been curiuos about a smaller one like the GT40 just for recording purposes.

Here's a second single from that same album. Different tones, tuning, style, etc. Push past the long ass intro and it's kind of like goth sludge with black metal vocals. I actually like this guitar tone better. Cleans are VHX and Matamp. Squier baritone Tele.
