This one arrived today. Alder body, thicker .82-.90 neck with 6105 frets. Comfortable weight at 7.75 pounds. Pickups are Duncan 59 and JB. Going to need to find something else for it. Maybe a Bill and Becky Lawrence L500XL for a Nuno vibe. Got a lot of option sitting around right now for it.

Should I paint it?

not necessarily, but you should match the hardware colors IMO

I like the natural look.

I’d get a brass knob and switch tip though. Maybe tuners if you can find them.

B&b L500XL is a legit pickup.
+1 on the B&B Wilde L500XL has more low end and is less harsh than a BL USA L500XL but still retains that L500Xl grind to it. If you want something in the L500XL family that is a tad less raunchy with a bit more clarity check out Wes Hauch's Seymour Duncan Jupiter pickups.:2thumbsup:

The natural wood finish looks good to me Fiesta, definitely has that Nuno vibe to it.

cool Chubtone! I'd probably keep that color. On a Charvel note, what do you think about the Charvel American Neo-classics?

How does it play and sound, and stay in tune with that bridge? Those factors would help me decide pretty quick is some changes/mods are needed to fit me. If it performs good as is, and neck/frets are within the margin of specs I can play on decently, I’d probably let it ride as is for a while.

If it’s still a play 6 mos from know, and it just needs a little something extra, l’d switch to PU’s of choice, and might as well get a volume tone knob situated wired up where tapers etc. respond the way I prefer. Otherwise, might just leave it alone and let it fill in a variety spot in the guitar stable. Could probably serve both roles great, depending on your personality needs/preferences.
