Well, you aren't here to build my faith so what are you doing here? Trying to tear it down. I got no time for that especially when I already answered you. Let it go.More ad-hom.
You didn’t answer my follow up. And you’re on a public forum espousing your views. Maybe you need an Orthodox safe-space.Well, you aren't here to build my faith so what are you doing here? Trying to tear it down. I got no time for that especially when I already answered you. Let it go.

Why did the apostles fail to put into writing that only the priesthood can interpret the Bible, or that their authority supersedes the biblical authority? You didn't have any follow question that I saw.
Where did you get the idea that only the priesthood can interpret the bible? Why did the apostles fail to put into writing that only the priesthood can interpret the Bible, or that their authority supersedes the biblical authority?
I’ll rephrase:Where did you get the idea that only the priesthood can interpret the bible?
In orthodoxy the holy fathers i.e saints are the guide for authoritative interpretation of scriptures. Not the priesthood.I’ll rephrase:
Why did the apostles fail to put into writing that the priesthood has the authoritative interpretation of the Bible, or that they are granted extra-biblical authority?
Okay ?, why did the apostles fail to put into writing that the holy fathers have the authoritative interpretation of the Bible, or that they are granted extra-biblical authority? In orthodoxy the holy fathers i.e saints are the guide for authoritative interpretation of scriptures. Not the priesthood.
They didn't need to, they wrote them. All scriptural disputes are decided by consensus drawn from the writings of apostolic fathers and the holy fathers and so the ruling would be harmoniouss. That's basically the study of patristics as I mentioned earlier. Everything prior to 325 a.dOkay ?, why did the apostles fail to put into writing that the holy fathers have the authoritative interpretation of the Bible, or that they are granted extra-biblical authority?
Why did the apostles write them (The epistles), if not to instruct? And if to instruct, why leave out such a glaring and contentious matter of church authority? They didn't need to, they wrote them. All scriptural disputes are decided by consensus drawn from the writings of apostolic fathers and the holy fathers and so the ruling would be harmoniouss.
I don't know what context you are placing "church authority". Authority over what? Why did the apostles write them (The epistles), if not to instruct? And if to instruct, why leave out such a glaring and contentious matter of church authority?
Omg. Maybe you should not be out advocating or associating yourself with orthodoxy.I don't know what context you are placing "church authority". Authority over what?
You're not being clear. Sorry man.Omg. Maybe you should not be out advocating or associating yourself with orthodoxy.
Authority over church matters, specifically that of biblical interpretation and the extra-biblical authority claimed by those who appeal to “Tradition” over the Bible itself. You're not being clear. Sorry man.
If you had to guess, following the course of this discussion, what authority do you think i might be referring to?!You're not being clear. Sorry man.
2 Thess 15 15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.Authority over church matters, specifically that of biblical interpretation and the extra-biblical authority claimed by those who appeal to “Tradition” over the Bible itself.
That’s the same verse the Catholics appeal to. And they argue direct apostolic succession from Peter. What say you?2 Thess 15 15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
Word or our epistle. The apostolic fathers. The holy fathers. Pretty clear it's a combo, not "solely scripture" as you suggested pages earlier.
