people are still gonna go to the shows though hoping they catch that mythical "on night" which hasnt showed up in 25 years and then complain they saw him on an off night... and then do the same thing again next tour in two years

Love the fact that George still pumping out tracks at his age. It is definitely not his best but it's not that horrible. It is for sure a little different flavor from his usual.

I don't know, it was pretty horrible. At the very least, no excuse for poor production and terrible mic'ing skills/tone.

This is 100% how I expected it to sound (I personally don't like it). This is the direction he has worked into over the last 10-15 years. I think Souls of We and Furious George might be the last of his work I remotely liked. But, he's still playing, he's still making money at doing what he loves. Can't hate him for that.

Anyone else waste an hour's worth of time and a few bucks on the Wicked Sensation Reimagined album? No? So I'm the only one?
Man that thing is horrible start to finish. I don't know what he was thinking... like painting over a Picasso with toothpaste.

When T&N Album came out he was really not all that, he progressed into that wacky noodling he is famous for.

For some reason the dude thinks he is a modern day Jeff Beck

The only thing worse was when Beck started trying to incorporate some tapping into his tool belt.
Good Gawd that was bad and I'm glad he stopped.

Heroes always die, often a slow and painful death measured in small increments.
Sometimes(rarely) they have moments of lucidity during their waning years and suddenly have something viable to contribute.
But most heroes who live long lives never recapture anything but a small glimpse of their former glory.
And yet we watch with baited breath, hoping against hope for that brief flash of inspiration....

....because it reminds us of our own glorious youth.

Very well put....

I will reserve judgement until I hear more tracks. For a man that has put down some legendary riffs, licks and tone, I can't be alone to hope there is much more that his new release will offer.

I can’t say I liked what he had going on. I wanted to keep an open mind but he keeps playing like he has tons of gain behind him and he obviously doesn’t. It lacks a proper intro, chorus, hook, and just general lynch groove.

There’s also way too many imperfections that just don’t belong on an album if they’re that pronounced. Seems like he wanted to one take it when in reality it needed chopped up.

Turn the gain back up if that’s they style of playing desired or play more cleanly, write more riffs and less licks, and don’t force it so much - the grooves gotta be there.

I really dont believe he is making a true living off of music, he must have other financial sources, and it`s not Dokken. I was looking at a video that talked about Rhoads Jake e Lee and Vivian Campbell. None of them made squat and I mean nothing. Expenses to live on

I feel the same way. I don't understand his lower gain approach from the last decade or so. His playing doesn't support it, and it really needs a gain bump to sound like he's playing clean.

Maybe the time versus money factor played into doing it in as little takes as possible. He seems to be constantly working on various projects, so I can understand spending as little time in the recording studio as possible. Just my thought.

That's because those three in particular got totally fucked over by the "stars" of the band (Ozzy and Dio)
