Interesting, indeed. I'd like to hear the 50 watt through a 4x12, boosted with a Les Paul. Kinda hard to gauge the tones through a boxy combo, and a Strat! But, the head checks all the boxes for me!!

Seems neat. The Vintage Modern was somewhat similar in concept at least and was cool but not well received? Hopefully this does better all around.

I still don’t get why not just a 2203x with a Jose mod? Folks would probably go nuts about how awesome it is and they could just crank it out without any R&D or trouble shooting.

Tinny top end like the new DSL's . you can hear it clearly at the very start of the video.

These seem like they could be killer value for the dollar, and I'm intrigued.

Jezus....that vid sounds like ass

Watching the once great Marshall brand flounder around like this is just sad.

I agree...the gain has a pull boost so maybe it is similar to the Jose/Jubilee with a diode engaged?
Cool amp though, with a loop and the ability to mix the high/low volumes like a plexi....

And the price per Anderton's is 800 USD..add some markup and hopefully this is around 1200....

Well, I've never heard an SLO vid sound very good. Or a 2C+ vid. And most can agree they are killer amps.

It's a pretty low pricepoint, I don't expect it to lay waste to all the big dogs out there...but I think we need to wait until someone here grabs one and can give it a decent go.

I don't know why Marshall wouldn't produce a Jose style amp and something similar to an Aldrich mod. They would sell a few more of these rather than budget amps.

OK, fair enough. At $650USD at Sweetwater for the 50watt head, it's got a chance I guess.
I'm just not sure I understand who this amp is aimed at. :dunno:

Well, if it sounds better than the new production DSLs I'd say it's a win...
:D

But, like Steve K said they really should put out a real Jose or Aldrich type 800 or Plex. That would be my wish.

This^ it's Marshall should OWN the modded Marshall market.

Exactly. And sell them for $2,500...and make them look like early and/or late 70's head shells. They would crush the competition.

Low, midgain sounds were great. but the gainier stuff not so much, but I'm sure we will get some better clips soon.
