New Mesa Boogie Dual Recto "RevG" Day

That circled resistor is definitely getting so hot it's leaving scorch marks on the capacitors. Do you know what resistor that is on the circuit board?

Is that the only metal film resistor that looks like that? If it isn't failed as someone else stated it is definitely on it's way to failure.

I would only take that to a tech that is used to working on PCB and maybe a Mesa tech might be the best choice.

Not without opening it up again, and luckily it is the only one so it looks like at least 1 resistor and 1 capacitor, the Illinois 2200 we identified earlier.

I hope you get it fixed, that's a nice early Recto. I bought my three channel Dual Recto in 2001 and I was wondering why it didn't sound like the early ones back then. Now I know why I didn't care for it since I was comparing it to the older two channel Recto's.
