New Mesa Triple Crown

I'm really interested in this amp. I'm going to have to check it out in person once dealers have them in stock.

Seems like this amp fills out their roster since they discontinued the Royal Atlantic and ELectra Dyne. Those 2 amps had good points but lacked modern features that this new amp has. MIDI, Solo boost, independent channels, it's not lacking anywhere. Just have to hear it in person. And some guys just don't like an onboard graphic EQ.

What I mostly gathered from the video is that I don't like modern metal riffs.

I wasn't too thrilled with the demo. But I have always felt that the official Mesa demos have always been lacking. I'll wait to pass judgment.

I would straight love a single channel recto based on orange modern with a switchable loop I would be done. Well that and my 800. ..

The djent is for marketing, since that's what the kids like these days. Mesa doesn't do their high gain demos justice in general. I'm looking forward to trying out the amp myself.

I usually like Mesa amps much more in person than what they capture in their demos. Personally I think this is the most exciting amp they've put out in years. Like a beefed up Electra-Dyne which was their best amp in a long time.
There's an ongoing "what should Mesa do next?" thread on the Boogie Board and this hits pretty much everything on my checklist from that thread. I'm excited to play it:)

Needs more switches, sliders and maybe some pull pots.
+1. Graphic EQ or GTFO.

I thought he was joking! It's an amp, not mission control

Amp sounds great to me. I will have to give this one a try.

Sounds pretty good. Just about all manufacturer demos sound like garbage to me, and Mesa is no exception. I always take videos for what they are worth and try to envision what they sound like in the room.

Great set of options. The Tight mode sounds like it's a variation of the Shred mode from the JP2C, bumping up the mids and cutting some of the low end. Essentially like putting a boost in front.

Give it a year or two and a new Recto will probably be next. It's been about 7 years since they made changes to the line. I could see it including all of these features - line out/speaker load, Cab Clone, midi control, Shred/Tight modes, etc.

At $1799, Boogie will sell a ton of these! Sounds great!

Great price for sure if it is 1799$.. not the best demo but the amp sounds pretty good to my ear as well and great to have all the options. I bet that first channel with the drive button engaged and opened up with some volume could sound really vintage Bon era AC DC.

I want one too. I bet an OD out in front of the 3rd channel sounds killer.

Sad that we're getting another unusable official Mesa demo. Especially for the high gain settings the videos aren't really helpful. A traditional high gain use, for example a Metallica-like tone would be interesting. Sad that they instead go for the ultra heavy downtrend guitars or 7, 8, 9 and whatnot stringed guitars...
But I'm still interested. The price sounds fair, more than the asking price for the JP2C ;)
