How good does the LP sound now? If it's killer then I leave it and put the Arcanes in the SG.

I'd do exactly what you said. 
I feel the same about the 498s. Too round, congested and messy in a heavy mahogany guitar. I do like the neck pup for clean tones but that's about it. I know some guys dig them but to me they are unbalanced and don't feel right. I still haven't changed to 500k pots. Heard that works wonders for those pups.
