...I don't get why folks really want a Soldano for a clean amp...
Back when I gigged a Lucky 13 combo, I had tons of compliments on the clean tone from the band and the crowd. But I think this new amp will have a little of an uphill fight like the rest of Soldano's non-SLO models.

-like the entire soldano line up, there's the SLO, then its like falling off a cliff, nothing of worth, especially at the asking prices.

This sounds like some regurgitated bs read on the forums somewhere with no basis on real experience.

Having owned nearly all of his amps at one time or another including about 10 SLOs over the last 20 years i speak from real experience. His entire line of amps has merit, value and worthy tone. Yes they are pricey but quality costs and Mike has some of the best service in the industry by a country mile.

I'm waiting to see how much the Bogner telos costs. Foot switchable effects loop.
I think it's going to be about $2,599

I think it's cool. I've always loved the sound of a distortion pedal through a clean amp for lead tones (ala Satriani's BOSS DS-1 throught the clean channel of the Marshall 6100 30th Anniversary).

I'll pass. Much cheaper (I assume the price will be outrageous) options that can provide a clean pedal platform.

Supposedly they will be under $1500. Not something I personally would want but knowing how great the amps Mike Soldano makes are, I bet it sounds killer for those looking for a new clean pedal platform.

As far as new price versus buying a used higher model for less, that is the way it is with pretty much all gear when talking new versus used.

Looks like he is recycling the jet cit chassis.

That's what I thought too at first glance haha. But Mike did design the Jet City stuff...
