Rhythm tone is on point. Hate the lead tone though.

I've never been a fan of his leads :dunno: Tone or playing

But they call him the riffmaster general, not the shredmaster general lol

Feels so good to see some new music from Tony, such a legend; and yes that singer (and the whole band) sounds great!
Looking forward to the full album.

THIS ..he is such an important piece of hard rock and heavy metal history and jas written some awesome music and incredible crushing rythms bit oddly enough, his lead playing has always sucked. It is such a strange combination to have in a player. The leads are always anti climactic

And as a result he has spawned thousands of stoner sludge neck beards to play their own lame pentatonic riffs with orgasm face.

Iommi is the only one who gets a pass from me to play those pentatonic riffs. All who copied his style are lame.

I thought the track was meh. Jorn is awesome though and did what he could with it. Personally, I wish Tony would go back to writing like he did in the early 70s. He would use some different sounds and dynamics. These days he is all about metal. I know no one cares what I think etc.

Liking the track, good metal sound, solid playing. Always liked Iommi. Happy that I managed to catch Heaven and Hell along with Black Sabbath live , great memories

I definitely don't care what you think. Lol, just kidding. I know what you mean. Everything is thick and over the top gain wise.

I just meant that there's a clear tonal delineation from the fuzzed out treble booster supergroup era with ozzy to dio and post dio which are more chuggy tight tones, and people sleep on all the tighter iommi tones
And it makes me want to try a Laney. I've only seen his sig Laney once and it was at a guitar center and when I went to try it someone had stolen the tubes so I never got to know.

The laney Iommi sig is one of the greatest sleeper amps of all time

That entire laney product lineup from the mid 90s to the 2010s was out of control underrated, and they have some really great amps even today

Both the laney AOR and GH series amps are really close to a modded 2203, as well, and back in the day they were one of my go to "I have no money but need a 2203 tone" moves
