New Tony Iommi Song

I definitely don't care what you think. Lol, just kidding. I know what you mean. Everything is thick and over the top gain wise.
LOL - yeah I guess I mean I always dug when he would use some other sounds like on the Sabbath Bloody Sabbath record or Master of Reality or Planet Caravan etc. Kinda feel his best tone ever was on the first 2 albums as well. I know everyone changes and people get bored of sounds. It happens to everyone except the Young brothers ha!

The laney Iommi sig is one of the greatest sleeper amps of all time

That entire laney product lineup from the mid 90s to the 2010s was out of control underrated, and they have some really great amps even today

Both the laney AOR and GH series amps are really close to a modded 2203, as well, and back in the day they were one of my go to "I have no money but need a 2203 tone" moves
One of my fav amps I ever had was a Laney PT50. Pre AOR era. Was killer.

I just meant that there's a clear tonal delineation from the fuzzed out treble booster supergroup era with ozzy to dio and post dio which are more chuggy tight tones, and people sleep on all the tighter iommi tones

I love his work on the Dio albums. The tone is great, but he also really incorporates a lot of ideas from the surrounding NWoBHM in that era but puts the Iommi mark on them producing some killer riffs that are distinctly him and yet different from anything he'd done before.

Finally got a change to listen to it - on laptop speakers (travel). I enjoy it. Nice tune. Man, that is one long-ass video intro I felt obligated to watch on the first time around. Old Man Iommi still has it. Really, there's a bunch of his material post Mob Rules that I've never checked out, and really should go back and do. (See also, Dio post Sacred Heart.)

I don't understand complaining on his solos. They've always fit the songs well and worked well. Sure, he's not an 80's shredder, but still plays for the song. Having said that, I was into Blackmore more for leads in that era - well, probably overall but that's just my personal preference and as much as I love him, he ain't the riff-master Iommi is.

Tony Iommi is the man... I love and respect him so much. He is the ultimate riffmaster...

Loudest amp I ever had and briefly owned. Got it around 2001 if I remember correctly. Stadium amp, too loud for my house back then.
