I have seen a few of these around but I liked this plain jane more than the other ones I have seen.

It has the build sheet and is stamped and burned. I traded a Standard Strat for it. I have seen prices all over the place, so I don't know if I screwed up or not. lol.

I did the same exact thing back in 04. My special was a sunburst, has d your white one as well.

I traded my 50th anniversary strat for the peavey. That wolfgang special had a great fat neck on it. Took me a little bit to get used to, but was a kickass neck for sure. Another guitar that I should've kept.

If by Standard you mean MIM Standard strat, you did alright.
The Peavey USA (which yours is) Wolfgang Standards & Specials are the one of if not the best rockbhard rock guitars stock from the factory IMO. I have owned a bunch of them over the years.
Congrats!

Even still I think the values match up so you did fine unless you were trying to make money. IMO you have a much better playing guitar now though. I had one like 10 years ago and it was a killer guitar, I got rid of it because I was a stupid whore but I think about it every now and again.

HNAD

The USA-made Specials are very cool for the money, I had one years and years ago but I was more into the wide-flat neck carves back then.

Around here you never see the USA-made flametop Specials, it´s all whites and goldtops. Plenty of the quilt korean Specials, though, but those are something else entirely.

I sold my ivory Wolfgang special last year for $750 on Craigslist

I paid $700 for the Strat, so I guess I did ok. :) He was asking $850 for this one (or trade for strat/tele)

My favorite of all the "Wolfgang" guitars. Simple, single volume control, great neck, light weight. Very cool guitars (except for the super hot pickups)!
