Ive had my Axe a little over a year, and the more I use it the more I look at my amps and pedals that I havn't even wanted to use, and debate on why I don't just sell them.

I’ve found a modeler of choice into a power amp and real guitar cab is about as good as it gets for flexibility and $ saving. You can go DI to record or front of house while simultaneously getting that real amp sound/feel on stage.

I keep tube amps and love em but they definitely aren’t a requirement to sound good.

I am going through a $h*t ton of rack gear I have in the studio and from my guitar rigs right now to sell. Just scratching the surface of the abilities of the FX III, I can clearly see I don't need 3/4 of the stuff I have built up over 40 years. I will keep some of the choice units but the rest needs to go. They have become redundant.

I liked my Axe so much I went and bought a FM3 so I could have an even more portable set up... Had I known about the AM4 I would of waited on that. I actually powered up my 1959HW this weekend for about 20-30 mins, and while it was cool, I was just as happy jumping back on the Axe.
